Hey! I'm Alexa!

But you can call me Lex ♥

I've been a part of the makeup industry for thirteen years, starting in 2009 with some sad attempts at a smokey eye for my friends on their birthdays. Several YouTube tutorials later, I found my first niche in special effects makeup while attending cosmetology school in 2013. Upon receiving my license, I landed a job with MAC Cosmetics, where I learned my foundational skills from inspiring artists who I continue to look to as mentors.

I began freelancing as a bridal makeup artist in 2014, and I am blessed to continue to work consistently in the tri-state area. I've also been an artist for films, photoshoots, local theater, and television appearances. In 2017, I started a summer class for young students to learn how to apply and appreciate makeup - this, by far, has been the most rewarding (and entertaining) job I've had.

With the unmatched support of my mentors, clients, friends and family, I committed to makeup artistry full-time in 2023. I am looking forward to the new, exciting opportunities that are set for the 2024 season!

Regardless of where my career will bring me, I know the most important part of being a makeup artist is the experience created between the artist and the client: makeup is a collaborative effort, and if you feel like the best version of yourself when you leave my chair, then I've done my job (and my goal is to have you feeling that way before you look in the mirror).

I am so grateful for the experiences I've had so far, for all of your endless support, and for the kindness and generosity that this community has shared with me.

I'd love to connect, collaborate, or simply answer any questions you have about makeup! You can reach me here. Thank you ♥
